Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a direct-hire, hybrid position in the North Atlanta area. This role is pivotal in supporting inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting within a complex operational environment. The ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally to enhance processes, ensure accurate financial data, and contribute to scalable, data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, finance, and IT to improve processes and enhance data integrity.
- Perform financial analysis and investigate variances across key accounts, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Support inventory-related workflows by ensuring accurate recording of transactions such as receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
- Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, including activities related to cost accounting and inventory.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies related to accruals, intercompany balances, and other critical areas.
- Assist with system and process enhancements, including ERP-related initiatives tied to inventory, costing, and financial reporting.
- Generate financial reports and provide insights to support business and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate intercompany activity and ensure proper reconciliation and elimination across entities.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation across multiple sites or locations.
- Support compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements.
- Document processes and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working with large-scale ERP systems in a multi-entity environment.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions, data analysis tools).
- Hands-on experience supporting inventory and cost accounting processes in manufacturing or distribution environments, with a solid understanding of underlying valuation principles.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
This position is based in North Georgia, offering a hybrid work schedule that includes both onsite and remote work flexibility.
